Hello
My name is Stephanie Fusnik and I am the owner of Vitality Osteopathic and Exercise Therapy in Saskatoon! I am a manual osteopathic therapist, the only Neurokinetic therapist in Saskatchewan, exercise therapist and personal trainer and have been in the health and fitness industry since 2013.

Stephanie offers manual osteopathic therapy, athlete movement screening, personal training, online training and nutrition coaching services.

My Story
I was born in Vancouver and moved to small town Saskatchewan when I was 10 years old. I moved to Saskatoon right after high school to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan.
While in university I got my personal training certification through CSEP and began personal training at the university in 2013. I trained everyone, athletes ,“average Joes”, right through to individuals with chronic conditions. I also ran the Saskatoon Fire Department, Saskatoon City Police and RCMP applicant fitness testing.
Once I finished my degree I got my exercise therapist certification through CSEP and started my Masters degree in Kinesiology focused on clinic cardiac exercise physiology.
During my Masters I taught a variety of undergraduate lectures and worked a lab teaching assistant. I received the Canadian Pediatric Cardiology Researcher of the Year Award for my Masters work in 2017 - I was the first non-doctor and first Saskatchewan resident to be nominated and awarded.
I then went on to work in cardiac rehabilitation for the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Saskatoon and then as an exercise therapist running all the chronic disease exercise management programs for the former Heartland Health Region.
During my time with the health region I realized there was so much more I could do for my clients if I could provide more hands-on services. I was frustrated with the restrictions placed in my scope of my practice.

I was at a fitness convention and stumbled upon a booth for manual osteopathic therapy. It sounded like everything I loved and wanted to learn more about. It was the perfect mix of massage therapy and chiropractics and would blend well with my exercise therapy and personal training background. I was excited at the thought of being able to do manual therapy and provide the corrective exercises to maintain the results! The schools I attended are compliant with WHO Type 2 Training Benchmarks
All of this has lead me to where I am today - a business owner, manual osteopathic and exercise therapist, Neurokinetic therapist, personal trainer and online coach!
